I downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia, but when I try to install it says it can't find compatible hardware. When I use the Nvidia auto updater it finds the GTX 460M, but says I have to get the drivers from the laptop manufacturer. The drivers on the Asus site are older than the ones I have installed. Can someone explain how I can get the most recent Asus drivers? Will the driver download from Dell's website for the 580M for an M17X r3 work and be an upgrade for the 460M cards? I noticed nvidia's website seems to combine the cards in the drivers, and the 580M driver version number on Dell's website is 269.03 vs the 267.64 driver version for the 460M. GTX 460M compatible with 3d? I went back through the list of supported video cards and noticed that the 460m is not on the list. I assumed that it was supported since the Asus G53JW is advertised as the 3d laptop with gtx460m video card. I have tried to install the drivers from the CD download. The most recent driver for GTX 460M is 280.26 available since the beginning of august 2011. With Alienware, i and other owners cannot download by ourself the new drivers on Nvidia Website. We have to download it trough Dell Website. On Dell Website, the only GTX 460m driver available is 267.64 released in 19/04/2011.
